DESCRIPTION:

Offered for your review and consideration is this just absolutely hilarious, over-the-top, crazy-good, pair of hand painted, vintage wooden Tiki-ware bobblehead Hawaiian tribal figures, with spring kinetic head mounts and body pins, which allow the figures to swing and sway in the warm breezes of the Hawaiian islands, readying themselves for perceived combat in a make-believe Polynesia or at a period 1950's vintage bar nearest you. They're 100% complete, with attached felt fabric skirt, long and really quite ridiculous, bowl-cut nylon hair, brass earrings and equipped with long wooden spears. Their faces are painted in war paint and they both stand on fixed round wooden mounts. They're stamped 'Made in Japan' on their wood bases. They were most likely fashioned in Japan in the mid-20th century, circa 1954-1962 and would've been placed on a Tiki bar or positioned near a punch bowl at a swinging Tiki party, where the party goers would be hopefully swinging and swaying like these two little guys. Have you got your Tiki on? Much more funny than they are politically incorrect. But then again, politically correct was never funny and seems to have always been unaccompanied by even innocent, much less mischievous humor. Killer vintage figures, when we all seemed to have been more light-hearted and enjoyed a good laugh, which wasn't necessarily mean-spirited or racist and which clearly didn't come at someone else's individual or group's collective expense. Outstanding vintage Tiki barware from a time that has now clearly passed us by.
