DIMENSIONS:
17" Width x 14" Height

CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition. In really well-preserved overall shape. A few missing paint flakes on the right side of the painting, clearly the result of something being placed against the surface. The work is now 62 years old and since it has no tears, water damage, scuffs, noticeable abrasions or significant paint loss, in addition to the previously mentioned areas of loss, this period vintage mid-20th century Modernist abstract/figurative oil on canvas, would have to be considered to be in rather well-preserved overall vintage condition. The painting is still on its original wooden stretcher and is unframed. It's signed and dated by the artist in the lower right corner of the painting's facia and the back of the canvas has several hand-written inscriptions. A truly remarkable fusion of figurative, humanist imagery & abstract color field painting, of referential imagery & non-referential imagery, with the abstract, gestural applications of color, evoking emotional, internal states. With heavy impasto and viscous, thick paint. Gorgeous.
