DESCRIPTION:
In absolutely untouched, unopened, estate fresh condition. It remains as it was originally framed in a brass trimmed, black enamel wooden frame, possibly by the picture preparer 'S.C. Fink,' written in pencil on the back of the frame's wooden stretcher. This large folio color woodblock print is printed on heavy cotton rag printmaking paper with artist torn paper edges. It remains in its original, mid-20th century, brass trimmed, black enamel wooden frame. The figurative woodblock print features a woman seated by herself in back of a table wearing a long red dress, with crossed legs and a glass of red wine resting on the table in front of her, while she indifferently holds a lit cigarette with one hand in front of her. The woodcut ink colors are not diminished and the vintage print doesn't suffer from any noticeable, depreciating damage. It still has full, uncut paper edges and is float mounted and under glass on white mat board. Truly exceptional. Extremely well preserved and undamaged. In absolutely untouched, unopened, estate fresh condition. Very rare and simply extraordinary. Killer (even for the much celebrated and heralded pre-eminent Japanese Modernist printmaker Kiyoshi Saito (1907-1997.) Top shelf. Near museum quality. They don't come any better than this. Superlative in every way. Simply incredible.
