DESCRIPTION:
Offered for your review and consideration is this recently discovered on the North Shore of Massachusetts, sepia-toned double military vintage panoramic long photographic portraits of assembled US Army enlisted men at not one but two military training camps, in Camp Devens, Devens, MA and at Pine Camp, Philadelphia, New York. The stacked photographs are laid down on tan paper but not affixed to it and are framed to the left and right margins of the photographs. The glossy photo paper is still highly reflective and neither photo suffers from any significant or noticeable damage, such as permutations, holes, blow-outs, tears, paper loss, folds, flea-bites along their edges, stains (light or dark) or taped repairs (old or new.) The panoramic photographs are realized in wonderful, complex sepia tones. Aside from a few slight, minor creases, mostly found at the margins of the photographs toward their ends (as a result of perhaps being previously rolled) they remain in well-preserved condition. These are original, authentic photos and not prints or copies made later. Clear. Crisp. Absolutely terrific. Just in time for the 4th of July. Where's your patriotic spirit? These Americans certainly and often heroically displayed it.
CONDITION:
Good to Very Good overall vintage condition.
