DESCRIPTION:
Offered for your review and consideration is this really wonderful, fabulous, estate fresh from Westchester Co., New York State, just north of New York City, hand painted, figurative Post-Modernist, conceptual watercolor painting, with a strong linear, hand-drawn component in black ink. This expansive format, quite large, figurative watercolor painting on paper is like a psychological, sequenced and contiguous chain of thought, seamlessly blending together several disparate human situations and episodes in a kind of visual montage or mosaic of fleeting emotions, thoughts and the residue of experiences, past and present, melded together into a big heap or a virtual mountain of stuff, that informs the mind of the person who authored this work. The watercolor painting is signed on the lower right in pencil by the artist and is inscribed 'B. Ivrovic, '81, B.G.' (Bulgaria.) This isn't a color aquatint, chromo-lithograph print or mass-produced production print but rather a one-of-a kind authentic, original watercolor painting on paper, with hand-drawn black ink line. Simply wonderful. Just examine the fluid, wonderfully drawn and hand colored figurative stations in the watercolor painting, to fully appreciate its true artistic freedom and Post-Modern deconstructivist attitude and non-linear, non-sequential conceptual thrust and stream of consciousness visualization, which violates the dominant artistic paradigm and insists on the plurality of thought and human experience and their simultaneous, contiguous existence. This is a late Modernist or early Post-Modernist European figurative watercolor painting that's clearly looking forward in time and not back. Absolutely terrific.
